Batemans Tops British Categories at World Beer Championships
In the most recent Beverage Testing Institute tastings, Batemans Combined Harvest Multigrain Beer was named champion of the Bitter Ale category with a score of 91 and Triple XB (XXXB) was named co-champion of the British Style Pale Ale category with a score of 90. Batemans beers returned to the U.S. after a 10-year absence in late 2008.

De Proef-Bell's Collaboration Update
Guest brewer John Mallett of Bell's & Dirk Naudts of De Proef today brewed Van Twee (From Two) - the latest in the Brewmaster's Collaboration Series. Van Twee is a dark Belgian ale straddling the line of porter & dubbel. It is fermented with sour cherry juice from Michigan and brettanomyces. Look for a July 2009 release.

De Proef - Allagash Collaboration Has Arrived
Les Deux Brasseurs (The Two Brewers), the second beer in the Brewmaster's Collaboration Series has just arrived in the SBS warehouse. Members of the Michael Jackson Rare Beer Club, will be receiving their shipment later this month, and look for LDB on the shelves at specialty retailers across the country in September.

De Proef - Allagash Collaboration Brewed at Proefbrouwerij
Brewmaster, Jason Perkins of Allagash, visited De Proefbrouwerij today for the brewing of Les Deux Brasseurs, the second beer in the Signature Series of brewmaster collaborations. LDB will be released this summer through the Michael Jackson Rare Beer Club, and will be available to the rest of the market this fall. Batch 2 of Signature Ale Collaboration arriving in March
Based on the incredible response to this beer, brewers Tomme Arthur & Dirk Naudts have agreed to make their collaboration available on an ongoing basis in the USA. Each batch will now be identified with a B2, B3, etc. near the government warning label on the bottle. More news soon on the next collaboration with Allagash Brewing.
